Courageous is a non-profit, dance organization based in
Gloucester, Massachusetts, USA. Founded in
1992 as a local dance studio, we now offer school residency
programs and dance
performances: Legends School
Program and Carl Thomsen
Dance
Theater.

Our work is community based, meaning that
we try to
make what we perform and teach relevant to the people in the
communities we touch. We do this
through history-based dance performances, education programs for
students, and workshops to show teachers (with no prior dance
experience) how to use creative movement and choreography to teach core
curriculum topics.
